LST's CGM generator is an application interface for generating ANSIstandard Computer Graphic Metafiles (CGM). The form is a FORTRANsubroutine library that can be linked with an application to produce CGMvia GKS-compatible subroutine calls. Graphics programmers can use CGMGENto quickly develop new applications or convert old applications thatoutput in CGM format. Because the interface is GKS compatible, GKSpackages from other vendors can be used to develop or test applications,and because the software product is supported on a number of popularplatforms, applications can be easily ported.
